With these questions, assess your projects, practices, and skills to identify improvements using the guidance in this chapter:

  • Project types: Which project types do you engage in most often—enterprise IT, enhancement, production support, business projects, process reengineering, or process improvement? How well do their attributes (e.g., scope, complexity, governance) match your past projects?
  • Skills and expertise: What technical or process skills do you bring to these projects, e.g., requirements analysis, process analysis, or system analysis? Which skills do you excel in, and which areas do you need to develop further to meet project demands?
  • Future direction: Which project type aligns with your next career step? Are you drawn to leading large-scale enterprise IT projects, refining processes, or focusing on production support?
