Over fifteen years, I worked for Stacey on six large, complex IT projects. She gave me ‘special jobs,’ from setting quality standards to troubleshooting delivery bottlenecks at every project phase, from initiation to warranty. Beyond my core business analysis role, these responsibilities allowed me to develop adaptability, prioritisation, and versatility in the specialised disciplines within enterprise IT projects.

Stacey, I am grateful for the opportunity to gain a broader, practical understanding of programme and project delivery—an invaluable experience that went beyond a business analysis perspective. You instilled in me the importance of quality and accountability, and through these lessons, I came to see the critical yet informal role of project assurance. My experience provided the practical foundation for a Project Assurance Manager role, which I have introduced and expanded to make it a legitimately valuable position within the enterprise IT project organisation structure.
